Handle complete MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) works on large building projects — from drawing review and coordination with civil teams through to installation supervision, testing, and system commissioning. The role requires experience with HVAC systems, fire-fighting, plumbing, electrical distribution, and BMS integration specific to high-rise or industrial structures. Candidates with experience in data center MEP or industrial facility MEP will be prioritised.

Develop and maintain the master project schedule, prepare baseline programmes, monitor progress against plan, and produce concise weekly/monthly reports for site leadership and clients. Strong command of Primavera P6 or MS Project is essential. Planning Engineers with high-rise residential or complex multi-disciplinary building project experience will be at a distinct advantage in this selection process.

Implement and enforce L&T's HSE management system on active construction sites — conducting daily site inspections, leading toolbox talks, performing hazard identification and risk assessments (HIRA), investigating incidents using structured root-cause analysis, and ensuring full compliance with all statutory safety obligations. Safety professionals with work-at-height or high-rise building safety expertise are especially sought.

Drive quality assurance across all construction activities — maintaining the QMS, raising and closing non-conformance reports (NCRs), conducting concrete mix design reviews, supervising structural inspections at hold and witness points, and preparing QC documentation for client and third-party audits. Experience maintaining quality standards on L&T-style ITP-driven projects is a major plus.

Plan, procure, and supervise formwork systems — including jumpform, table form, tunnel form, and aluminium formwork — for high-rise structure construction. Coordinate with structural engineers and site teams to optimise the formwork cycle, reduce concrete pour durations, and ensure all temporary works comply with structural design requirements and safety standards.

Manage all finishing activities — flooring, tiling, plastering, false ceilings, glazing, painting, waterproofing, and façade cladding — ensuring specifications are strictly adhered to and quality benchmarks are maintained. Coordinate with MEP teams for service integration and with client/architect representatives during snagging and handover inspections.

Execute civil structural works — foundations, columns, slabs, shear walls, podium decks, and associated concrete structures — in line with approved drawings, specifications, and programme milestones. Manage sub-contractor crews, review drawings for buildability, and maintain site records for billing and QC documentation purposes.

Supervise structural steel fabrication, alignment, erection, and bolting/welding activities. Ensure steel work meets drawing specifications, IS code requirements, and project quality plans. This role is particularly critical for manufacturing facility and data center projects where structural steel forms the primary load-bearing system.

Manage procurement of construction materials, subcontract packages, and plant hiring — from preparing material schedules and issuing RFQs to commercial negotiations, PO placement, delivery tracking, and vendor performance monitoring. Experience with L&T or similar large contractor's ERP / SAP-based procurement workflows will be a clear advantage.

Plan and supervise all reinforcement bar activities — bar bending schedules, cutting and bending operations, bar lapping, cover block placement, and rebar inspection before concrete pours. Coordinate steel delivery with the procurement and store teams to ensure zero downtime on critical pour activities.

Oversee the operational readiness, deployment, maintenance scheduling, and breakdown management of all construction plant and machinery — tower cranes, concrete pumps, transit mixers, boom placers, and hoists. Maintain equipment availability records and coordinate preventive maintenance to minimise downtime that could affect the construction programme.

Cover non-engineering but operationally critical functions on the construction site — project accounts and billing support, site administration, sub-contractor labour IR management, statutory compliances (PF, ESIC, contract labour), and stores/inventory management. Prior experience working in a large contractor's site office environment is essential for this role.
